Our Specialised Nutrition Services
Individual Consultations
One-to-one support for eating disorders, neurodivergent eating, chronic health conditions, and complex relationships with food.

Individual appointments are the foundation of SafePlate's work. They provide a space to explore what's happening with food, eating, your body, your health, and your day-to-day life, and to work together on support that feels realistic, sustainable, and tailored to you.

There is no standard plan handed out in the first session. The way we work is shaped by your goals, your experiences, your brain, your body, and what feels genuinely possible right now.

SafePlate supports people across a wide range of presentations, including eating disorders, disordered eating, ARFID, neurodivergent eating differences, gastrointestinal conditions, chronic illness.
Â
Many clients are navigating more than one of these at the same time.
Sessions are collaborative, weight-inclusive, neurodivergence-affirming, and trauma-informed.
Â
Whether you're pursuing recovery, trying to improve your quality of life, rebuilding trust with food, or simply looking for support that feels different from what you've experienced before, you're welcome here.
Step Down Program
Recovery looks different for everyone, and your support should too.

Our Step-Down Program is designed to help bridge the gap between more intensive treatment and everyday life. Rather than following a fixed pathway, the program is tailored to your individual needs, goals, strengths, and stage of recovery.
Â
Built around a range of therapeutic modules; including food variety, body image, sensory regulation, interoception, movement, identity, relationships, and reconnecting with a meaningful life beyond the eating disorder, the program allows your care to evolve as you do. Together with your treating team, you'll focus on the areas that are most important to you.

While reducing eating disorder behaviours is an important part of recovery, it is only one part of the journey. Many treatment models naturally focus on helping people move away from the eating disorder. Our program also places equal emphasis on moving towards a life worth living. Helping you rediscover you with confidence.

Your GP remains your medical lead throughout the program, overseeing your physical health and working closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure your care is coordinated, safe, and personalised. This program is newly launched, and we're currently welcoming a small number of participants as we refine and grow the service.Â

The program is designed to coordinate with your Eating Disorder Plan (EDP), so many of the clinical services are Medicare-rebatable. Once you reach the Medicare Safety Net threshold, out-of-pocket costs typically reduce significantly, making the program considerably more affordable.

Individual meals
Are ideal if you're recovering from an eating disorder or if just one member of the family needs meals tailored specifically to them, separate from the rest of the family's food.

Family-style meals
Are designed for households undertaking Family-Based Treatment (FBT).
FBT can be one of the most stressful times for a family. We are hoping to take somethig of their plate and provide premade meals, that hopefully lead to less distress for everyone. Or anyone wanting to take the planning and pressure out of mealtimes for the whole family during recovery.Â
Â
Curious what a menu looks like?
Â
We have sample menus on hand to show how meals can be tailored to different goals, preferences and medical needs. Just ask we're happy to share a few examples.
